WHAT IF WE’VE NEVER BEEN TO BIG BEND, CAN YOU GIVE US RECOMMENDATIONS ON WHAT TO DO & WHERE TO STAY?
Showing off Big Bend is one of my favorite things; I’ve taken dozens of people on their first trips to the area, and getting to see their wonder and amazement at the wild, rugged, hugeness of the Big Bend area never gets old. That said, I can definitely give you all the recommendations on things to do in Big Bend National Park, Big Bend Ranch State Park, the Terlingua Ghost Town, and even Marfa, Alpine, and Fort Davis!
WHAT’S THE BEST TIME OF YEAR TO GET MARRIED IN BIG BEND?
Depending on what activity you want to do (canoeing, backpacking, etc), there may be a specific month or season that’s best! We can definitely go into the specifics on your free initial consultation call. Typically, I recommend October, January, and April as the best times to elopement in Big Bend National Park.
WILL OUR GUESTS HAVE TO HIKE?
It depends! If you want to do a longer hike to get to an epic spot and your guests are up for it, then we can hike! If mobility issues are a concern and you need a spot that is more accessible/doesn’t require a hike, then I can recommend those too. I’ll ask lots of questions specific to this in the Location Scouting questionnaire to make sure my recommendations align with your guests needs!
HOW WILL WE PICK OUR ELOPEMENT LOCATION(S)?
Once you give me the thumbs up that you’re ready to book and you’ve paid your retainer, I’ll send over my in-depth Location Scouting Questionnaire. This questionnaire will ask you all the questions you never even knew you needed to be thinking about when it comes to choosing your elopement location so we can pick the best spot for your day. From there, I’ll create a custom location recommendations list and we will narrow things down from there!
WHAT IF WE HAVE BAD WEATHER ON OUR WEDDING DAY?
Part of having an outdoors-centric day is the fact that there are many things we can’t control. Weather is one of them. In the event that it rains on your wedding day, we will come up with a back up option based on your priorities. For example, we could move the ceremony indoors to a spot in Terlingua, we could drive north to Fort Davis or Marfa, or just shoot in the rain!

It Definitely. Once you book, I’ll send over my exclusive wedding client portal with links to vendors, decor/detail recommendations, and my Wedding Planning Guide to help make the planning process as easy as possible for you! Plus, I’m always an email or consult call away if you need more assistance.
